Cass Samms is primarily a sculptural artist, who also practices drawing and printmaking. Her work draws on the natural world and how humanity relates to it. Plants, animals, detritus from the beach and bush, provide themes and influence her work. Cass utilises a wide range of materials, from the strong energy of metals to the delicate nature of ceramics and other media. Her studio is situated in bushland on the north coast of NSW, Australia.
